“Lebone, my dear traveler, I am Maam Awa, and I am so pleased to welcome you to this special corner of the world where stories, dreams, and journeys come together. Maam, in our Wolof language, means ‘Grandma’; a word that carries warmth, wisdom, and the kind of love that only a grandmother can give. It is with this love and deep sense of responsibility that I invite you to join me on this beautiful journey through Africa, a land that holds my heart.”

I was born and raised in Senegal, a country brimming with rich history, vibrant culture, and incredible hospitality. But my story isn’t just about where I come from; it’s about my journey across Africa and the world. For over 15 years, I have worked in the hospitality industry, helping to create unforgettable experiences for travelers, and learning from every culture and community I’ve had the privilege to touch.

“But my journey, dear one, is not just about hotels or business. It’s about people. It’s about the connection we all share; the stories we tell, the cultures we honor, and the ways we support one another.”

I spent over two decades living and working in Morocco, a country that became my second home, where I learned to appreciate the beauty of blending tradition with modernity. My life there was rich with experiences in hospitality, where I learned the true value of creating spaces that make people feel like they belong. But no matter where I go, Africa will always be the center of my heart. I have always believed that Africa’s story is one of strength, resilience, and incredible beauty. Yet, too often, the world only sees the struggles—poverty, war, and hardship. It is time, I believe, to share the other side of the story. It is time to show the world Africa’s excellence, its charm, and the extraordinary people who make it come alive.” It is with this spirit that I have created Awa’Mazing Collection; a platform designed to showcase the very best of Africa’s hotels, destinations, and experiences. I am here not just as a guide but as a passionate storyteller, sharing Africa’s beauty and culture through every hotel, every experience, and every journey. I have walked this path for many years, and I carry with me the wisdom of my ancestors,
the love of my homeland, and the experiences of a life lived fully. I am here to help you see Africa not just through your eyes, but with your heart. Each destination, each hotel, each moment you experience here will help you connect with the very soul of Africa.
As Maam Awa, I offer you my wisdom, my guidance, and my warmth. I believe in creating not just memorable stays, but meaningful connections.
